One of the best parts about
working with Innermix is the amazing team that Simply D and Jules have put
together over the past year. Although many of us work on different platforms
and specialize in certain aspects of the company, everyone here is dedicated to
bringing this company to new heights, while of course, learning and having fun
at the same time. And what better way to give you the inside scoop on
Innerscoops on just who our talented and dynamic team members are and how they
help make the magic happen, than by introducing them to you?
As Promotions/Publicity Intern of
Innermix, Katherine Moncrief has been vital to the company for bringing
together many of the projects that we have set up for this year. In fact,
you’re actually looking at one of them right now! After running a series of
successful blogs, Katherine not only is able to apply her vast knowledge of the
inner workings of social media and content building to this blog, but also to
design a multitude of marketing strategies for some upcoming Innermix products,
such as their new single and their radio show.
“She integrates everything that
Innermix is doing. She helps to promote us in the entertainment space, the
social media space and also in the company space. She incorporates it all and
accents the brand on each and every front, which is something that we love,”
says Simply D.
So what is it about working with
Innermix that makes it a truly unique and exciting experience for Katherine?
“It keeps you on your toes. It’s
a completely different work environment than anything else I’ve done. They give
us a lot of freedom, creativity and encourage us try new things. We’re always
coming up with things quickly, but not so quickly that you don’t have the
opportunity to try new things,” says Katherine. “It’s nice because they really
encourage you to just throw out your ideas. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t
work. And if it does, then great!”
Because of Simply D and Jules’s
positive nature and can-do attitudes, Katherine is really able to foster this
opportunity into something that helps move her forward on not only a
professional level, but also on a personal level.
“They’re really into the personal
level of business. Its kind of funny because with this opportunity, I get to do
business on a micro level where they’re really into meeting people and having
that relationship with them, but we’re also doing the macro blogging and
reaching out to tons of people. They bring a diverse approach into what they do
and what I do,” explains Katherine.
In this competitive economy, not
everyone gets the opportunity to do what they really love to do. But what’s
exciting about working with Innermix is that the fun and games never really do
go away, even when we’re all seriously into our work and scrambling around to
get everything done at the same time. The warmth, the positive energy, its all
there at the end of the day.
Wistfully reminiscing when she
met Simply D and Jules for the first time, Katherine recalls their warm welcome
and the positive energy that she was greeted with at the recording studio,
where she got to experience firsthand the different sides of Simply D and Jules
and what makes them click.
