Who Is Innermix?

The first question most people ask us is: 

What is Innermix?

Well, the easy answer is Deon Upshaw (Simply D) and Julie Lee (Jules). 

But for the real answer, we have to ask:

How much time do you have?

To put it in D's words, Innermix is like a living, breathing mixtape--you never know what you're going to get next, but you know it's going to be good. Innerscoops is all about our Innermix family and The Innermix Show, our Monday night show on BlogTalk Radio, but there is so much more to this team!

As one of the first Korean and Black groups in the music industry to date, Innermix creates their own path through their creative talents and love of music, radio show hosting, and acting. Their family type chemistry is what makes Innermix stand out from all other groups in the music and broadcasting industries today. Both Simply D and Jules have been showcasing their talents since they were four years old, but neither of them knew the future that they were creating for themselves or that their paths were destined to meet. Simply D came across Jules while she had gained success as a Top Artist on Myspace, and became an instant fan, and he knew with her musicality and passion for the art being so similar to his, that they would make a great team. And thus, Simply D and Jules conceived Innermix which grew to become a full multimedia partnership. Jules and Simply D come from different cultural backgrounds, experiences and upbringing, and their musical pallet consists of a vast array of different styles, but it’s the fusion and mix of all these differences that makes them who they are.
